Sumi ink, bamboo pen, wash, splatter, drip
New approach to layers, using ink and paint, to create, destroy, discover. The medium I mixed with the paint slowed the drying more than I anticipated. These are small size substrates. When I painted larger I was frustrated by the paints fast drying time.

Working on this piece felt like working in watercolor, which I like. The transparency of paint the over calligraphy is a result of the added medium, not water. I’ll find the hair dryer to dry the next layers I will be applying.
